Internship Opportunity: Jolie Justus for KC
Progressive Kansas City Mayoral Campaign Seeking Interns
About the Candidate:
Jolie Justus was elected to Kansas City’s 4th Council District in 2015 after representing Missouri’s 10th Senatorial District, where she served as Minority Leader. In Jefferson City, Jolie fought for Missouri’s children & families, led and passed criminal justice reform, and made sure that Kansas City got its fair share of state resources. She is a progressive known for getting things done and, as the first openly LGBTQ member of the Missouri Senate, shepherded the Missouri Non-Discrimination Act out of the Republican-dominated State Senate. She’s brought that collaborative approach to the City Council, where she’s helping domestic violence survivors get a new lease on life, establishing safe routes to schools for our kids, supporting a $15-an-hour minimum wage, and leading the charge for Kansas City's new airport.
