Stand Together KC
Local Leader Panel: Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, 7 pm
A special program at Church of the Resurrection will address what the Kansas City community can do to stand up for our neighbors and against the hate and intimidation espoused by white nationalist and white supremacist groups. Leaders of faith communities in the Kansas City area are coming together for this conversation, including Rev. Adam Hamilton, Rabbi Arthur Nemitoff and Rev. Emmanuel Cleaver III. Mini MECA Challenge Friday, Sep. 22!
Curious about the upcoming MECA Challenge at Rockhurst on Oct.11? Come to libary periods 6-9 and take part in a mini MECA challenge to learn more and give it a try. We'll divide into teams and try to think outside of the box to solve a hypothetical problem related to STA. There will be snacks and fabulous prizes for the afternoon's winning team. MECA Challenge is a one day innovation competition where you will work on a team with an entrepreneur mentor to invent the best solution to a real-world startup problem. MECA Challenge is not just for business students, but also for designers, writers, techies, engineers and any other students interested in learning how to innovate.
Working in a client-designer relationship; our club designers will work with other clubs, extracurricular groups, advisories, and the start shop to generate designs! After receiving your feedback we will prepare the files to be printed at a company of you choice, although we like to shop local!
As a member of the club, this is an opportunity for you to showcase your creativity while producing a great resource for the school community! Join our club, build your design skills and portfolio while having the members of our STA community model your work! Membership limited to 20 students. Applications due September 8th! Contact Caroline Reynolds or Ruthie McKee with any questions.
